From the Winemaker:
Our 2021 Gamay Noir is made from fruit grown at the Scotch Church Vineyard in the Willamette Valley, 13 miles away from our winery. Our winemaker, Andrew Kirkland, personally selected the site as an ideal place to grow Gamay Noir in the valley and the vines were planted there in 2016.
The wine was fermented long, cold and slow using 100% carbonic fermentation with the juice resting with the skins for 40 days. The wine was then pressed and racked into neutral oak barrels and rested there for 4 months prior to bottling.
