From the winery:
Since 1931, five generations of the BROTTE family have been dedicated to the careful crafting of refined, elegantly fruity and spicy wines with a remarkably smooth character. Domaine Grosset belonged to Alain Grosset, Laurent Brotte’s father-in-law. The Grosset family has always been very active in the village of Cairanne’s community and cultural life and has greatly contributed to the development of the AOC
Appearance – Ruby hue with garnet tints.
Nose – Intense. The nose offers up a combination of fresh fruit, such as raspberries and redcurrants, with remarkable spicy notes of cinnamon and garrigue scrubland. The wine will become smoother with time, and develop jammy raspberry and plum, as well as undergrowth, aromas.
Palate – The wine is full-bodied and spicy with notes of wild strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants. Hints of toast and sweet spices add complexity. The palate is broad and the finish is very long.
