We are here to help you celebrate! Whether you are looking to pick up a twelve pack of something easy going like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Sam ’76, we are here to all day long to help. Here are few of our favorites from around the Shop that we’d suggest for poolside sipping, fireworks watching, or Netflix and chilling watching Independence Day …
- Share a ‘Gansett with your neighbor today! Narragansett Lager is a classic American lager that was first brewed in 1890. It was he best selling beer in New England from the 1930’s to the 1970’s. It has crossed paths with Dr. Seuss, it was famously crushed by Captain Quint in Jaws, and it was the first alcoholic beverage to partner with a professional sports team – the Boston Red Sox from 1944-1975. Drinking a Gansett is drinking to New England history.
- Having a barbecue? Then grab a bottle of Para Maria de las Tecolates, made by Stolpman Vineyards to honor Maira Solorzano, who runs the day-to-day operation and is the wife of their Vineyard Manager, Ruben Solorzano. The wine is named after the nickname for villagers from Santa Cruz, Jalisco (Maria’s hometown), which is “Tecolote” or night owl. Maria and her team also turn nocturnal three months of year to harvest grapes in the cool night air to maximize freshness. It is deep, dark, and full of body.
- Need portability? Then grab something from our selection of canned wines! We have wines from Old Westminster Winery, Margerum (Doug’s great Sybarite Sauvignon Blanc is now in cans), Tangent Wines, Tiamo, and others! These offer a great opportunity to have quality wines out and about in places where glass is not allowed. Take them hiking, to the pool, to the beach, or just enjoy them on the couch because most of the them are half-bottle sized.
Don’t see a recommendation that fits. We will be here all day to answer questions and help find you the perfect bottle. We hope everyone has a happy and safe Fourth of July!
