Firestone Brewing Company’s Mind Haze Double IPA is an intensified version of their original Mind Haze IPA, featuring a blend of different hops, including Azacca, Cashmere, Mosaic, Strata, Sabro, Idaho Gem, Idaho 7, and Motueka. The beer is audaciously dry hopped both during and after fermentation, with a total of almost five pounds of hops per barrel, giving it a bold and flavorful character. The addition of Strata and Sabro hops brings out pungent fruit notes and a unique coconut aroma respectively, while the other hops add their own distinctive flavors to the mix. Despite the variety of hops used, they are balanced in this stronger beer to provide a full-bodied, hoppy taste that is well-rounded and enjoyable.
