The Nebbiolo grape reigns supreme in Italy’s Piedmont region. There, the grape reaches its pinnacle in the form of Barolo and Barbaresco. Langhe Nebbiolo is generally considered as a junior version of these two world-renowned wines, sharing much of the full bodied character and structure of its bigger siblings. Unlike Barolo and Barbaresco, however, there are no regulations on minimum aging when it comes to Langhe Nebbiolo, and that is true in the case of this young Nebbiolo wine. Brilliant garnet red in color with an aroma of violets, lush berry fruit and plums. Flavors of ripe red cherry emerge and a touch of spice on the finish.
