From the Winemakers:
We are excited to continue with this grape on our land in the Shenandoah Valley. Fermented without inoculation and 50% whole cluster brings pleasing rusticity to the structure and aromatic density. White pepper accentuates the dark, berry fruit in this medium bodied wine.
About “Midland”;
The Jordan family and friends planted their first vineyard in 2007 at Mount Airy Farm in Fort Defiance, Virginia. Midland Construction was originally the name of Ted Jordan’s carpentry business, founded in the 70s. In 2016 he passed the vineyard project to his three sons: Ben, Gray, and Tim, who operate as grape growers and wine producers today. The name, Midland, acknowledges the work they do with their hands and backs, building a family wine business on the ridges and hillsides in the middle lands of the Shenandoah Valley.
